The Pacific Islands Development Bank (PIDB) is a regional development financial institution, with membership open to all Association of Pacific Islands Legislature (APIL) member States.
Coverage
Pacific Island States in the Micronesia region. Countries currently covered are the Island of Guam, Republic of Palau, the FSM States of Chuuk, Kosrae, Pohnpei, and Yap, and the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands.
Description
The Bank was founded with the objective of promoting socio-economic development and economic cooperation among Pacific Islands States. In order to achieve this goal, PIDB seeks to mobilize financial resources from both within and outside the Micronesian region, also encouraging private investments and providing technical support.
All development activities are eligible to receive financial support, which is provided by means of loans. A download section is available on the website to access templates and guidelines to apply to different types of loans provided.
