The Conservation, Food and Health Foundation

Charitable foundation seeking to promote capacity building in the areas of conservation, food and health in developing countries.

OBJECTIVE

To promote the conservation of natural resources and improve availability and access to food and health care in developing countries.

GEOGRAPHIC COVERAGE

Developing countries, with the exclusion of the former Soviet Union and former Eastern Bloc countries.

FOCUS AREA

The Foundation can provide grants for field research, training and technical assistance in three macro areas: conservation; food security; and public health. Emergency relief and food distribution activities; however, are not considered eligible.

Financing is typically provided to tax-exempt organizations, while governmental agencies and NGOs can be considered on a case-by-case basis. The application process consists of two phases: initially, a concept application is submitted by means of a dedicated online process, shortlisted partners are then contacted and requested to submit a full proposal. The last deadline for the submission of concept applications was 1 July 2012, grants are expected to be awarded in December.
