FIELD – The GM’s Financial Information Engine on Land Degradation is a dynamic knowledge management system for searching, sharing and harnessing information related to sustainable land management financing.
In addition to a fully-restyled graphical interface, the portal features new functionalities, developed in response to stakeholder recommendations and user feedback.
Features include a dashboard, giving you quick access to the information you need at your fingertips, an advanced search engine and enhanced navigation pathways to ensure your specific queries are answered fast.
The underlying content management system has also been upgraded and now allows for web-based decentralised data entry, quality control and e-mail notification, reducing the time and costs involved in updating information.
In addition, the whole database has been migrated to a dedicated, more powerful server environment which will substantially improve transaction speed and response time, to the benefit of FIELD’s end users.
