To relieve people from poverty and hunger; to promote a better access to health care.

USA and developing countries.

FOCUS AREA

The foundation can provide grants in three areas: development; health; and domestic grants for initiatives in the US.

Eligible activities in the development sector include agricultural productivity and crop technology; microfinance; water and sanitation; urban development; emergency response; and policy-building. Eligible activities in the health sector include infectious diseases; HIV/AIDS; family planning; nutrition; maternal and child health; and vaccination campaigns.

Grants are typically issued to tax-exempt organizations working with local partners in beneficiary countries. Grant seekers can either reply to a call for proposals or submit an unsolicited request following the guidelines provided.
