A variety of sources of funding is available for sustainable land management (SLM). Traditionally these include resources from either domestic budgets (i.e. central government and decentralized authorities of affected country Parties) or external sources (e.g. Official Development Assistance - ODA).
Increasingly however, private and semi-private sources, including foundations, private corporations and international civil society organizations are emerging as additional sources of financing for SLM.
