Aid instruments are modalities, facilities and funding mechanisms set up to support the delivery and channelling of resources for development.
These include for example aid modalities of the International Development Association (IDA) of the World Bank Group, the UN’s Multi-Donor Trust Funds (MDTFs) and Joint Programmes (JPs) and the European Development Fund (EDF).
