GM illustrates funding options for achieving UNCCD targets 10 September 2007 - Never At the sixth session of the Committee for the Review of Implementation of the Convention (CRIC6), the GM presented a report on options for financing the achievement of targets related to United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD) implementation in the biophysical, socio-economic and financial domains. GM proposes new guidelines for financial reporting 07 September 2007 Mr Simone Quatrini, the GM’s Coordinator for Policy & Investment Analysis presented an innovative methodology to improve financial reporting on programmes, projects and activities related to the implementation of the Convention, to the 6th session of the Committee for the Review of Implementation of the Convention (CRIC6). Central Africa Sub-regional Forum validates Sub-regional Action Programme (SRAP) to combat desertification 26 June 2007 Through a long, participatory process, led by the Central African Commission of Forests (COMIFAC – Commission des Forêts de l’Afrique Centrale), the Central Africa sub-region has made up for delays and now has its own SRAP, thanks to the patient efforts of partners in the sub-region, particularly the German Agency for Technical Cooperation (GTZ), the GM, the UNCCD Secretariat, national governments and other intergovernmental institutions.
